To Those Who Have Forgotten Humility – by Shalan Joudry

As part of a national project about transforming Canadian society MRT commissioned Shalan Joudry to create an audio poem. In her words, it “speaks to the foundational teachings that we all must consider and hopefully embody in order to shift to a more equitable and sustainable future”.

Written and recorded in her community of L’sitkuk, located in Mi’kma’ki, the unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people, it now lives on the National Arts Centre’s website.
